tall fish tail palm with an upright leaf form. The crown is elongated with the leaflets being narrowly triangular and having jagged edges - resembling fish tails.
This Fishtail is frequently seen growing semiwild in the foothills of the central and eastern Himalayas. Indicated by its natural habitat, this palm is by far the most cold-tolerant Fishtail Palm, guaranteed to stand up happily to cold winters with snow and moderate frosts.
